Robert R. Trippi is a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, San Diego. Formerly Professor of Finance at the California State University and Visiting Professor at the University of California, he is well known for his work in applying advanced computer technologies in the securities and real estate investment industries, and was a full-time consultant in these areas for more than ten years. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Trippi has written more than sixty research articles on finance and information technology topics, and is co-author or editor of several highly regarded books, including Investment Management: Decision Support and Expert Systems, State-of-the-Art Portfolio Selection, Neural Networks in Finance and Investing, Chaos and Nonlinear Dynamics in the Financial Markets, and Advances in Futures and Options Research.
