Robert R. Trippi, Ph.D.

Robert R. Trippi has more than twenty years experience in information technology, Fortran, and multi-language software development consulting. He has been Visiting Professor at the University of California, San Diego, where he is currently a Guest Scholar, and was formerly a Full Professor at California State University, Long Beach. Dr. Trippi is well known for his work in applying advanced computer technologies in the financial services industry. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Trippi has written more than sixty technical research articles on information technology and related topics, and has authored and edited many highly regarded books, including Advances in Futures and Options Research, Investment Management: Decision Support and Expert Systems, Artificial Intelligence in Finance and Investing, Chaos and Nonlinear Dynamics in the Financial Markets, and Neural Networks in Finance and Investing. He has been an advisor to the compiler divisions of Microsoft, Compaq, and Intel, and is a recipient of a number of computation-related grants, including an Intel Technology for Education 2000 grant.
